Are you ready to climb 1,048 steps for one of the best views of Oahu?  

Whether you and your friends wake up early for the sunrise or head up later in the day to watch the sun go down, Kokohead is ready for you but the question is, are you ready for Kokohead?

The trail itself is very simple but probably around the 500th step or so your legs might regret even considering coming to Kokohead.  Our recommendation? Don’t be afraid to take a break off to the side of the track and enjoy your view (cause it gets better and better as you get higher).

Once you reach the top (congrats!) you can breathe a huge sigh of relief for you have conquered Kokohead and 1,200 feet worth of steps!  But it’s not really over yet! After you reach the top there are several look out points to enjoy the view from. You can stay on one side to watch the sunset over the west or if you’re up for sunrise head over to the other side with gorgeous views over east side of Oahu.

Here is Your Reward– the views!

After you’ve soaked up the views it’s time to head down.  We’ve met people who struggle going down and some who think it’s the easiest part.  Our tip is that if you went for sunset make sure you have a flashlight or a phone to help guide you down cause those tracks can get very tricky in the dark.
